From the perspective of a Hadith of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in which he said “The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it”, and in another hadith, he said (PBUH) “The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Qur’an will be with the honourable and obedient scribes (angels) and he who recites the Qur’an and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have two rewards.”, so it is a real opportunity to do our best in learning and teaching Qur’an to reach and deserve those rewards.
We are Muslims, and Qur’an is our Holy Book, that dictated to the prophet Muhammad by the angel Gabriel and written in Arabic. Actually, one of our important duty to Qur’an is to keep reading it, daily if you could, and even if you would read just a short part, but the point is to not leave Qur’an. one of the other duties is to learn Qur’an, and why not, the prophet (PBUH) said in the aforementioned hadith “The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it”, so try to do your best in learning Qur’an, and try to not let your week goes without learning a new verse in Qur’an. The following hadiths are from the chapter of Virtues and rewards of reciting Qur’an:
-The Messenger of Allah said, “The believer who recites the Qur’an is like a citron whose fragrance is sweet and whose taste is delicious. A believer who does not recite the Qur’an is like a date-fruit which has no fragrance but has a sweet taste.”
-The Prophet (PBUH) said, “Verily, Allah elevates some people with this Qur’an and abases others.”
-The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.”
-The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “He who does not memorize any part from the Qur’an he is like the ruined house.''
-The Prophet (PBUH) said, “The one who was devoted to the Qur’an will be told on the Day of Resurrection: ‘Recite and ascend (in ranks) as you used to recite when you were in the world. Your rank will be at the last Ayah you recite."’
